Saint Gerard Medal

3/4 inch sterling silver round st. Gerard, patron of expectant mothers medal on 18 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The front of the medal has a stamped image of st. Gerard with the wording "Saint Gerard Pray For Us." The back of the medal is blank and flat with a brushed finish. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box.

Saint Gerard Majella grew up in a family of seven in poverty, instilling in him a great respect for the poor. He was known to often be fasting and in prayer, and took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. He is accredited with several miracles, including restoring a boy's life after he fell from a cliff and saving an expectant mother on the verge of losing her child, thus being known as the Patron Saint of Expectant Mothers.
